I thought the last episode sucked major balls, the battle of bastards should deliver though.

I thought the last three were super weak. Of all the predicable fan suck up moves, bringing back the hound is the only one I can get behind...and even that is a bit weak.

If they don;t kill off at least one solid fan fav. Arya, Brianne, Jamie or the Dorf....I'm calling it quits.

Out of the three, I think Jamie dying will complete the circle of loss for Cersei.

And, they are going off of Martin's notes now...they aren't catering to fans, they are catering to Martin's vision of how he wants the series to finish.

You can bet the books are going to be about 100x the detail.

If that's the case, I've never been more disappointed in an author....this better be the calm before the shit storm that ends with someone as unworthy as Ramsey taking the Iron Throne.

I think the show reveals shit far more abruptly.

Yeah, I think it'll end with either Snow/Tregaryan on the throne, or the Imp on the throne.

We know her third child dies, based on the prophecy. She knows it too. I am thinking she dies trying to save him, which of course doesn't work.

Hopefully Arya borrowed a bunch of faces from surfer dude back at the temple.

Game 7 of the NBA finals is going to interfere with my watching of this episode, hyped up for some crazed warfare.

So was Titanic. It was still a bucket of "fuck yeah"

Battle scenes were some of the best I've seen in any movie.

The utter stupidity of Jon Snow's generalship bodes ill for the fight against the white walkers. Clearly a tactical, not a strategic thinker. Hopefully the Imp and Dragon Girl have better planning skills.

Baelish said something to the effect Starks having quick tempers and slow minds.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

It was an epic episode, no doubt. I plan to rewatch it today.

But one thing I enjoyed from Seasons 1-5 is the unpredictability. Any character at any time was up for execution. That feel has slipped away.

Or even Sansa. She basically told Snow not to be a retard, which he promptly did. Who thinks we will see a Tregaryan/Iron born carpet munching get session next Week?

Did anyone catch all the foreshadowing about the stashes of dragons fire around the city that Cersei is sure to set off, killing loads of people, maybe even Herself?

That's not gonna happen.

This entire saga has always been about the underdogs (the dwarf, the poor dethroned queen in the exile, the disabled one, the little girl who wanted to be a swordswoman, etc...) and how they could finally overcome their shortcomings.

Oh, yes, a lot of charismatic characters die, but they are almost invariably alphas. It's so fucking predictable that it's nauseating.

Speaking of which... Where the fuck are the white walkers? There was a big, nice battle one or two seasons ago and they dissapeared. What the fuck are they waiting for to assault the Wall? Are they hybernating?

She's gonna allahu-akbar herself and that fucking pseudo-Pope.

That's because they're running out of characters.

Still and all, No 9 was a highly satisfying episode. Solid 5/7.

Well, that witch told her all her children would die. I say when her son eats it, she goes berserk and tries to murder the whole city.

I think they show up breaching/assaulting the wall in the finale, the white raven in the preview evidently foretells that winter is finally here (after 6 seasons).

There's no more blatantly awful people left so time for the white walkers to get their due.

You're forgetting about Walder Frey and Euron Greyjoy, to name two.

Yeah, but Walder Frey is fairly harmless - Joffrey had all his goons (the Mountain, the Hound for a while, Sir Meryn Trant, shit tons of soldiers, etc.), Ramsay was a sadistic butcher. Walder Frey has an army but no one that noteworthy in it. Greyjoy has an army too, but we need him to up the unpleasantness more.
