Re: Odds that President Trump will not finish his term
You do know that hoping for the pilot to fail may kill all aboard the aircraft right? Good point. For me, I don't hope he fails. I am just worried that he is going to fail. I was worried when I saw him in the airport stumbling around before we got on the plane. Most of the policy stuff getting impl...

When he starts building that fence and starts deporting junior democrats I think the stroking out will be widespread. I shit you not, the administration or Trump family will be selling commemorative golden shovels that turn over the first soil for the WALL. Based on the constant emails I've been ge...

Very nice neighbor kid, three houses up, used to practice all year long in his back yard. I used to pick up a dozen lacrosse balls in our yard and give them back to him a couple times a year. He got a full ride at some college near Washington to play. It paid off for him.

The Musk vision is the roof, hood, paint, etc. will become some type of super solar array to recharge batteries during sunny conditions. Part pipe dream and part possibility. Maybe. For now you need charging stations. And there aren't enough of them. I don't follow. home or work charging stations a...

Anybody here own one of these or following the company? Company has almost a cult-like following similar to Apple a decade ago. It seems their early leadership in EV's has pushed ALL the other auto companies to play catch up.

Dik, Brokers can sell Vanguard funds, but they don't get a kickback, like with, say, American Funds. So they have no motive to push Vanguard. I'd say this guy was giving reasonable advice. I hope this broker suggested VTI. Tim, as a former Reg. Inv. Advisor with a top five firm, I'm aware of the ru...

Meopta's cost more than some of my rifles I've owned. Can't argue with their perceived quality. I've hunted for years with a Tasco and lots of my buddies used Leupold. My Tasco never left me down even after being dropped fairly hard when falling on steep, snowy hills. I could never talk myself into ...

Most/all of the above advice is based on the economy's Normal continuing indefinitely. And it probably will. But you should also prepare yourself to live without all of civilization's conveniences for a period of time*. Not prepping, just insuring against instability and disruption. Stock up some f...

Re: Anybody following VW's fuck up?
Great investment opportunity. Wow, the stock market has had a great run since I made this prediction. The S&P500 has run up 16.7% since I bought VW on Oct. 2,2015. The Dow, holy shit has spiked 21.1% in that time frame. Trump effect? So how has the down beaten VW done over that time period? I'm...

Weaver 3 x 9 variable. Good value for a new hunter. Should be around $100 USD. There's better, but this is a rugged scope for most all conditions.(edit): of course if it's going on a Weatherby, I'd be embarrassed to suggest that. Opt for the over and under scope mounts, so you can shoot with the iro...

The first rite of the Five Tibetan Rites would have me falling on the floor. Tim, a couple of things improve balance. Performing the first rite of the Five Tibetan Rites improves balance. It looks and feels silly, but it's improved my balance doing them every day first thing in the morning. It will make you dizzy the first few times you do it, so start with only a half dozen...

That's a great wall Nafod. It's this cool circular structure made out of white marble. It's got this layout to it, with slanting walls and a big semicircle, where the first time I saw it I have to admit that I thought I'd love to hit it with a skateboard from my youthful days last century. My mom cooks the turkey every year, dry as sawdust. My idiot mother in law is the kind of old broad who brags about how she "had to" get up at 3am to put the turkey in the oven for a 5pm dinner time. It's literally inedible unless you drown it in gravy. Of course nobody tells her she's a ...
