Re: Tiger King on Netflix

Supposedly, songwriters and vocal performers Danny Clinton and Vince Johnson make up the voice of the songs in the music videos. In the credits of the documentary series, both names are credited under archival footage. Exotic met the duo when they were writing songs on commission. Clinton and Johnso...

Re: COVID-FIT: Survive the Chinese AIDS

Guess I missed the point of this thread...I took it to mean: how do you exercise when gyms, martial arts studios, parks, beaches, etc. are closed? ....don't come in contact with people who have it, practice a lifetime of taking care of yourself (including now), be lucky with good genes and a clean h...

Re: COVID-FIT: Survive the Chinese AIDS

I got kicked out of the ocean yesterday while surfing a semi-hidden spot by park rangers, and threatened with a 1000$+ fine and/or jail time. So today I skated/carved a hill ~30 times and walked back up. I'm hoping I'm not going to have to resort to visualizing the sports I like to do, but I'm plann...

Re: My State Has Gone Full Fucking Clownship

The entirety of Southern Cal, from the border up through Santa Barbara is grossly under reported. There are no tests. In LA county the health department has essentially said we are only testing if the testing will warrant some type of difference in treatment. I.E. they need to figure out if it is C...

Re: My State Has Gone Full Fucking Clownship

Libraries, gyms, my job, parks, beaches (and getting in the water), all shut down. Still can ride a bike or walk, though not on boardwalks. But played online Dungeons and Dragons last night over audio chat (surprisingly super fun) and skateboarded some quiet hills yesterday. And surfed this morning ...

Tiger King on Netflix

A gay, mulleted, cowboy who raises tigers, releases music videos, and plots a murder.

Thank you Netflix.

Haven't watched it yet, but cannot imagine it NOT being entertaining.

Re: Weili Zhang's Training

The definition of work ethic I could find: the ability to maintain proper moral values within the workplace. It is an attitude that shapes the way an individual performs its job duties with high moral standards. What does it have to do with a hard training athlete? Here you go you dingus, I googled...

Weili Zhang's Training

There's a lot of roundhouse kicks in here, and some wacky shit, but there are some nuggets as well. And her work ethic is impressive.

Re: Squat Assistance Exercises

I suppose it was three factors: 1. A consolidation of my attitudes towards life. Around October I started having a mindset for surfing, then another for training, then another for meditation classes (and so on). It was making me stressed out, while feeling disconnected from who I am at my core. This...

Re: Squat Assistance Exercises

Hahah, no not my leg size.

Not sure. I was busy at work, lots of exercise, friend and family time. Was reading one to two books a week. But felt down.

That almost made it worse, in that I was doing all these things that should make you feel good and it wasn't working.

It happened randomly at the same time as being the most depressed I'd been in 20 years, but about 3 weeks ago something switched and I got a shit ton of energy and motivation. Happy to scale back my usage, as social media has been one of my time sucks the past 5 years - along with YouTube and video ...

Re: Squat Assistance Exercises

I found when I had trouble coming up from the bottom, then Bulgarian split-squats helped: 3-4 sets x 8-15 reps each leg. Then for a while I found myself falling forwards in the squat, alternating two weeks of squats with two weeks of good mornings/trap-bar deadlifts helped with that: 3-8 sets of 3-5...

Re: The Virtue and the Way

Monday, January 20th First off, I plan on taking a break from all forms of social media until March: no online videogames, Youtube, Instagram, facebook, or here. Second, as I have written extensively/excessively about my mindset for different things, I have decided for the time being (might be wort...
