Re: Sharing

Curious....you used to post some different Jack LaLanne workouts.

Any more examples of those?

Re: Bodyweight Training

FC,

Haven't logged in here for about a million years....yeesh.

I really like the Furminator's Combat Rok if you're going to be on the move. Really, REALLY worth the low cost.

Re: Making consistency the goal

Haven't logged here in forever but want to get it going since I'm doing the C2 challenge.

5014m @ 29:03

Haven't rowed in about a month so I'm starting slowly so as not to re-injure the back/hip.

After abs and pushups.

Podcasts on the iPhone with a nice set of Bose headphones my wife gave me last Christmas. One of those things I'd never buy for myself but they've been an excellent tool to use with the rowing.

Re: C2 Holiday Challenge

Maybe some cognitive disconnect but if your right hip is screaming the whole time, you probably should have bagged it and done something else. Long duration pain generally indicates that something isn't quite up to it today. You have better things to do with your body than to fuck it up on a row, f...

Re: C2 Holiday Challenge

I've been on a BW kick lately, so I'm just dicking around with the TRX for the most part. I'll also toss in some push-ups, pull-ups, and squats as part of a rowing workout. I like this because it's a nice break from the long straight sessions on the rower. I think I'll lay off the KBs for the chall...

Re: C2 Holiday Challenge

So what, if anything, are the rest of you doing (training-wise) besides rowing during this?

Not a lot of spare time left over (for me, anyway), so I was thinking super-simple like 50/20 with bench press a couple times a week.

Re: Making consistency the goal

Been on the C2 very consistently until we had the new baby. Now things are going to be piecemeal for a while with inconsistent schedules, etc. 11/10/14 PHA Style Training (via Dennis B Weis) with a pair of #35 dumbbells. I did 2 set of each. Beginners P.H.A. Re: Let's talk ammo.

Save the "This caliber is better than that caliber" arguments for another time. What ammo do you load up with when you carry for these scenarios: Handgun -self defense (i.e. killing two legged vermin) Rifle -self defense Handgun hunting (either for taking game or for predator protection) Rifle Hunt...

I just finished Larry Correia's Monster Hunter series for the second time in anticipation of ordering the newest book in the series. Really good stuff if you're into fantasy and realistic gun play. Well, as realistic as it gets when the hero is shooting monsters, but you know... Also been going back...

I was in an argument with an in-law about the national debt and spending policies two years ago at a family drunk-fest...erm, family reunion. He explained that I was totally off-base and could learn everything I need to know about economics (!) from Rolling Stone, and I could borrow his copy. I just...
