Re: Let's Get Into Sharpening

Got some pics taken under magnification to illustrate things a little better. Everything under 400x magnfiication. These are all the same knife, in 8cr13MoV steel. A pretty common steel in pocket knives, it's capable of taking a pretty friggin' sharp edge, but it needs fairly regular maintenance. H...

Shaf... Get in here

I remember a thread where you mentioned something about the "visible muscles" and how to train them. From memory it was something like biceps/triceps, rear delts and lats maybe? And for something like 100 total reps each. Here's the deal - I want to focus the effort I would usually put into accessor...

Re: BEERJEW FT. TERRYb

Time for a Deload, then another month of volume, followed by an intensity block, leading to this years first peak (circa. start of April). I've looked back through my log, which nicely maps out the last 30 days of training. Calculating the total volume of the main moves only (and any derivatives, i....

Re: White Belt for Life

I find I can train more often with pinky on ring, but it's more of a smooth, controlled bench. When I try a full hands width in from the rings, it becomes powerful and quick. I find myself gravitating towards training comp Grip, but competing closer grip.

Close Grip Bench is weird because I find it difficult to touch with close grip. For a fun challenge try bottom up pressing a 24 with an 8kg bell balanced on top!

On another positive side, I've been promoted at work for the third time in the last 18 months, and I'm currently on track to mak...

tonkadtx, that's minimalistic too. And if you really are up for the challenge, I'd suggest Ken Leistner's standards: "If you could get to the point where you're squatting 400lbs for 20 reps, stiff-legged deadlifting 400 lbs for 15 reps, curling 200 for 10 reps, pressing 200 for 10 resp, doing 10 di...
