Halloween in Las Vegas

Post by Dazed »

Fashionistas: This show is being billed as the next Zumanity. It is a reasonably entertaining show. If you are not the sexually adventurous type, this show will be plenty racy for you.

The venue is small, but adequate. You get open bar with your ticket for an hour before the show. The show itself was entertaining, some parts more than others. The biggest drawback is their transitions where they try to fill dead space with total bullshit. There are two main characters, the good girl and the bad girl. The bad girl looks like she would fuck you to death then ride your corpse to hell. I give her two thumbs waaaay up.

We paid extra for VIP seating and am happy we did. Our couch in the center was directly in front of where two girls did their high-wire with sheets act. The same bit Cirque du Soleil started and now everyone is imitating. Honestly, I am very jaded with this whole bit, but being up close added a whole new dimension to it. The better seats also allow you to view the stage along with the extra dancers that pop out for different songs.

Zumanity: I was very pleasantly surprised with this show. I walked in expecting pretty corny performances or more of the same cirque material, sans tops for women. It is just over 90 minutes and I can honestly say I was disappointed when it ended. The show went by very quickly. The only negative is a horribly gay scene with a bunch of guys in a cage, ending in a makeout session between two of them. I have no problem with gays or anyone else, but being forced to look straight there for the duration was a little much.

We got upgraded seats here as well, although we passed on the couches. Our seats were immediately behind the couches and they were good enough for the MC to call out my wife’s tits and get me on stage for the orgy. All good fun. If you have seen other cirques before, this one is less athletically intense. It is more of a sensual performance, rather than an in your face, look at all of the crazy shit we can do.

Fetish and Fantasy Ball - This is not a Fetish ball. This is a Halloween ball. If you go there with this understanding, you’ll have a good time.

Downside - The venue is divided into two sections, one with vendors, the other a large warehouse space with randomly situated bars and the DJ area. We got there very early and were quite concerned about how the night would turn out. Both venues were very bright. The music blaring was not what you would expect for an “alternativeâ€

I was in Vegas around Halloween last year, and it was like "Springtime For NASCAR" everywhere I looked. Not neccessarily a bad thing, but combined with that was the fact that everything on the Strip that wasn't a casino was a shopping mall, and not an especially impressive shopping mall either. The Fremont Street arcade (with the 5 block overhead electric sign) was kind of fun, though. Had a really good half bottle of Rioja at a food court, too, and it was almost worth the trip.

As for the fetish thing, I always liked Lawrence Block's comment about it, something like, "You go in there expecting to see a bunch of extras from a Fellini film, but instead it's the folks you'd normally see at a Tupperware party, only with tattoos and leather and instead of displaying cake transporters, they are hanging each other up on the walls."
"I also think training like a Navy S.E.A.L. is stupid for the average person. I would say PT like an infantry unit, run, body weight stuff, hump a little, a little weights and enjoy life if you are not training for specifics." -tough old man

I've been to events that fit your description to a "T". However, I can tell you there is definately a second scene, which is much more appealing to the eye, then again, I live in S.FL.
