Armdrop Live

Post by Turdacious »

Very good drag racing promotion, and well set up for for hardcore drag racing fans, very occasional fans (like myself, I may go to a race every five years or so), or those who have no idea what it is about. Races are divided up into time classes and then there is the competition (field of 16, then 8, etc...) The races go quickly-- if you can't get back to the track quickly and be ready to race-- you're out. Christiansen is entertaining. Very well set up for those who are not familiar with all the ins and outs of normal drag racing-- plenty of explanation, and the arm drop start is a nice throwback.

The crowd wasn't massive where we went, which was nice too. Some of the cars were very nice dragsters, but there was a good variety of cars from hobbyists-- Studebakers, Fords, Chevys, cars, stationwagons, and trucks, BMWs, and Japanese cars too. No Subaru Outbacks though.
