Game of Thrones, Dammit

Post by nafod »

Am I the only one watching this thing? Can't believe no one else has commented.

It's been a long while since I read the first book, but I'm digging the series for its general awesomeness and its faithfulness to the story line. Targeryen getting the molten gold dumped on his head is just a prelude for some excellent smack-down in the last 4 episodes of the season, if I remember the book correctly. The guy playing Tyrion Lannister is perfect. Arya is perfect. It is all great show.

I've never read the books, but the show kicks ass.

On a side note the HBOGo app is fucking awesome.

Tonight's episode was great. Even knowing what was going to happen from having read the books, it was still sad. Sean Bean is great as Eddard Stark. I'll say no more to avoid spoiling.

It's good stuff. I bought the books to keep going after the season ends.

I really like this show. My girlfriend got hooked on it last week on On Demand and now I get random one line emails like: "They have a midget!"
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

The *thunk* after Jackass Targeryen died was fantastic.

Tyrion is played by Peter Dinklage, who rarely disappoints. He's definitely a highlight of this series so far.

Both the actor and character of Arya are my current favorite. I predict big things for her future,
Spoiler: show
although the series is clearly showing us it's not afraid to kill off a major character.

To keep the Dothraki story alive, Daenerys has to have a major surge at the end of the season.

But there are still several Starks (including Jon Snow) who should keep House Stark in play. I can already tell Rob Stark is better than his dad in playing the game.

VERY good season of TV and I can't wait to read the books after it's over.

I've read all of the books and you can't get attached to characters.

I can't wait to see this series.

Nice. I've got it DVRed and watched it twice already.
