RIP Bert Sugar

Post by baffled »

Iconic boxing writer. Pissed a lot of people off with his style, but I thought his take was as good as anyone's.

Kind of the end of an era with his passing, Angelo Dundee passing recently...

Yup, a lot of people didn't like how animated his speech patterns were, but I'm not sure there was another writer still working that had the knowledge across all eras that he did.

Kraj,
That made me chuckle.

I thought he was way older. Seems to have been around for ever. Appeared to belong to a bygone era, and yet was living in the present.
