Is IGx dying?

Post by buckethead »

This place blows as of late. Post count dying off.

Is it nearing the end? Are our best days behind us.

Or will Jeek return as a messiah?

The fact that you can't access this place by going to irongarmx.net is part of the problem

It takes forever for a forum or post to open most of the time which is very frustrating. That and I've just been very busy lately.

I though that it was my computer, but that it takes such a long time to open topics etc might be a part of the problem. After some frustrating minutes when I can`t read what I want,I go somewhere else (and what Mickey said about being busy as of late).

The Internet in 1998 was faster than this site is now. You can't access it directly most of the time and it takes ~20 seconds to get a response to post.

Some new blood would help.

I can't access with my last iPad or my new one. Definitely can't access via Forum Runner.

That said, the energy feels lower than normal. One of the Protos are to blame for sure.

Speaking of slow loading, the entire interwebz has been slow for me since I downloaded Yosemite.

I just thought the slowness was due to my iPad. Or the user. Whatever. I've never been a big internet poster, but I visit this site, or try to, almost every day. All of the progress I've made in the past few years had its' origin on this site.
I don't feel I have that much to offer, compared to many here, but I'll try to step up my game.

The problem with the http://irongarmx.net/ link is going to act as a filter.

It's also summer time.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

The slowness doesn't help. On the other hand, while I know I haven't been here as long as many of y'all, I've been paying for a few years and lurking for 2-3 years before that. There's at least one of these threads per year. Someday it'll be true, but it hasn't been yet.

I'm a little bummed about it.

Some of our more colorful characters have left. Makena hasn't been here in forever, Andy rarely posts. Say what you will but Rant cracked me up on more than a few occasions, Garm's not around. Jack was awesome. It seems like everyone's gone on vacation and never came back. This iteration of IGx has been around 10 years...good peeps here with good knowledges/experiences...it would be sad.

Hey Shape. What's the difference between a Protobuilder and a Protobot?
One is an asshole and the other is an asswipe.
Nothing to see here.
All the good guys are long gone. And yes bucket, IGx is all but dead.

nostalgia is the refuge of the unimaginative. it used to be better when . . .

bullshit.

there is an ample contingent of jesters and smart guys around here to keep things lively if they'd quit whining about how slow the internet is and sounding like entitled hipsters

I have also had a lot of issues with getting on the site.
I have to wonder if we aren't just running out of things to say around here WRT S&C and fitness and martial arts. The kettlebell wars are over, crossfit is still stupid, BJJ is the martial art of choice, and LSD training has been validated again.
What else is there?

Well, I don't know about lesbians but there are other women here. What's funny is watching everyone try to give Lych advice about her T levels as if she were a man.
