Chauvin Trial - Medical/Legal Question

I'm lightly following the Chauvin trial. The prosecution just presented a medical expert on breathing who testified that Floyd died from restricted breathing, not heart attack or fentanyl OD, as maintained by the Chauvin's defense lawyer.
If the MD is right, my question: How to distinguish the breathing restriction caused by Chauvin vs. that caused by the officer kneeling on Floyd's back? Seems like this opens up the opportunity for the defense to put the other officer (Keung?) on trial.
IGx Quacks - any opinion?
