The late John Christy recommended calf raises with only a one to two inch drop. That wasn't to cure P/F, just to prevent it.

My mother gave this to one of my clients for her plantar fasciitis. Its all but cured it. She just rolls her foot across when when she's sitting at her desk. All damn day.

Christopher McDougall, the Born to Run guy, I think said doing the 100-Up barefoot fixed his PF.

Something about the stretching action, even doing the "minor" version, on the plantar fascia. Trying to spend more time barefoot, strengthening my calves, and ditching the inserts all helped me a lot.

I've got some other weirdness, but my feet feel pretty good.

I got a TENS unit and use it on my calves when my feet are particularly sore. Even if my calves don't feel tight, it helps quite a bit.

WTF? Uhh, you're supposed to use that on your feet? I have been using it way wrong then.

The other trick is to fill and freeze a plastic bottle of water, and then roll your foot out on that.
