I wonder if cannabis is performance enhancer in GS.

Depends on the athlete and how you define 'performance enhancer'.

Athletes have been using weed for longer (probably far longer) than I've been alive to take the edge off.

I would give you odds that it can be. It works for time trials....GS is not dissimilar and far far more rhythmic.... which plays well with sativa.

The original sport MJ was banned for is biathlon....tempo/rhythm/controlled breathing and focus. Sound familiar?

I've wonder about this for ultrarunning - eases nausea, increases appetite, helps pain, and improves mood.

There's some stuff already out there about MJ as a PED for ultra running.

I don't know if it helps to be high while doing kettlebell sports, but it certainly helps while spectating.

There is no fucking way I'd take on a technical descent, either trail or mountain, high. Reeks of broken ankles and caved in foreheads to me.

I've podiumed the NORBA Elite/Expert class doing just that. You radically misapprehend the nature of how the drug works in the brain.

I've only ever done it in social situations so I wouldn't know. One thing I do know is some of my mates could play guitar better stoned but I was a fumbling idiot and couldn't do half of the shit I normally could. That's why I imagined my motor skills would be impaired.

Sativa blends ramp up concentration for most people. Thus the paranoia...left idle, it's as if the brain goes looking for patterns. When occupied, it's a powerful focus enhancer, esp. with rhythmic activities. I think this is where the rampant music over-appreciation comes from.....when you really listen, music is pretty fucking amazing. Sativa has that narrowing effect.

In another life....

Long GS sets felt easier since it assisted in zoning out and all you had were the reps per minute. 8-10 mins would fly by. Best ever was 200 reps of jerk in 20-30 mins. The longer sets just seem to melt together and then the timer goes off.

Even further back, some of my best criterium and cyclocross times were achieved while on some solid sativa. On the point of technical/motor skill work, in my simple opinion, it wasn't like I was actively thinking about it. One of the best traits of this compound is that it places you directly in the moment and seems to let the body do what it already knows how to do. As many can attest, the mind can fuck you up way worse than a pulled muscle or something. For me, it took that out of the equation.

At the Military nationals a few years back at San Diego State, i kept noticing an extremely hot Asian/Samoan mix young woman in the stands in a very short dress. Experienced time compression, laser focus, and i was definitely in the moment. And i passed the drug test. It being a USAPL National Meet, as expected, i was tested. The winner was not. Not sure about the girl.

I do trail races here in Italy. At the top of most mountains there is a cross like this one near me

A runner friend of mine has a theory that the cross doesn't actually exist. You only see it because you're so out of it once you get to the top. Maybe you needed to see your Asian/Samoan girl.
