I was going to do snatches again but I had strange pain in shoulder blade area probably from thursday's snatch workout. At 56, anything different seems to result in some kind of strange pain.

Swings were a little lower than usual as I was unusually weak this morning. Weakness was probably due to only getting 2 hours of sleep but I never sleep much and it usually does not effect me.

Usually swings are hard on monday and get easier as week goes on. On friday or saturday they get real easy and I can do 10 to 20% more than on monday if I want to. Yesterday and today they were very hard (early oxygen debt) which I attribute to oalccj on wednesday. Fitness plan is working as my BP is averaging 100 to 110 over 60 to 70. It was 92/51 after short jog yesterday.

Weight has been slowly going down since I added 2 days of snatches per week. I do not know if it is the reason. I have added more low fat unprocessed carbs with little effect.

Thanks DikTracy. Most people prefer a pill so I do not think my message would be well received but diet and exercise is working for me. I think it is mostly diet that cures you.

Saturday 1/30/10 5:30 AM wt 155.5

200 20kg snatches - switch every 10 on minute.
25 28kg overhead swing

Snatches were done slow to see what 200 felt like. The only body part that was unhappy was left palm. I like the way snatches feel but the hand issue is pretty annoying. I threw in the swings at the end just to crank up the heart rate because 10rpm snatches felt like a slow walk. Conditioning has come a long way in last 2.5 years.
