Hadn't planned on it .Just gonna try to keep it to 3 square meals a day. If I can stick to doing that I should do ok, at least for a while.

Great job so far Hamps, but remember that while you can lose a lot of weight with just consistent exercise, as you get closer to your goal you will also need to tighten up the diet. I hate watching what I eat, but it can't be avoided.

Gospel truth. Especially once you're out of your 20s.
Over time, your quickness with a cocky rejoinder must have gotten you many punches in the face.

John Berardi's gospel on weight loss: Alternate high intensity interval training with weight lifting; brisk walk in the morning (keep heart rate out of training zone); lean protein and vegetables at every meal except have a carb meal after weightlifting. I also keep a food log on Sparkspeople.com, which serves my purpose. It's a bother for about a week, and then becomes habit. There's a thread on the training forum on good sites for doing this

Giving me advice now, how sporting. Is there some special reason that the morning walk shoud be outside of a training zone?
I made started an account on Sparkspeople.com but haven't done anything with it, I might give it another look.

Go to bed hungry. The weight will come off. You won't catch me but you will beat PT, and isn't that what this is really about?

I don't know why, but I think the idea is not to overtrain. The Velocity Diet has a similar recommendation.

With the food diary, for one week it's a pain and then it becomes easy. Forcing yourself to write down what you eat is a powerful tool.
