Aw, shucks. Thanks, Trip, but there's a good amount of rest between those sets-- maybe 4-5 minutes.

Wheels 4x8
24kg MP 6x8
24kg C&J 4x10
32kg deep jacks 6x10
32kg frog jumps 3x10

For the next 6-8 weeks I want to add in more weighted plyometrics. A weight vest would probably be better than the ol' cannonfodders, but what can you do? They're what I have.

60 min yoga class.

What a great one today. Whatever else I'm doing, the yoga stays.

Wuss gym visit.

Dips 5,5,4,4,4,4,3.
Neutral grip chins 5 singles, 3 slow negatives
Incline BP with 60lb DBs 4x10
Decline situps w/45lb plate 6x6
Cardio bike 25 mins lvl 12, HR steady in mid 140s.

Notes for future trips to wuss gym: dumbbell windmills are stupid. They may still work the midsection, but the upper body feels like it does not engage at all. Just skip them and do them with KBs at home later.

17 Jan 2009 - late

30 mins yoga, just messing around with poses. HR felt like it was in the 140 range and got a sweat going.

18 Jan 2009

Plyo movements holding the 32kg:

Frog jumps x 80
Deep jumping jacks x 150
Explode out of front squat to overhead lockout, aka Cannons: 4x4 each side

Was planning on some stair sprints, but that's enough for today. Missed the HR but guessing around 170 at times.

Frog jumps, Heismans, jumping knee tucks, tires, deep jumping jacks, one-leg broad jumps. I also consider jumping rope and two-at-a-time stair sprints in this category.

Pushups 60, 55, 50, 50

25 mins of intervals:
60 secs jumping rope - 30 secs rest
10 snatches with 24kg each side - then caught my breath a bit.

I lost count of how many rounds I did, but they got a hell of a lot slower after the first one. The "catching my breath" part started out as 45 or 60 seconds and went downhill from there.

Bodybuilding stuff.

In fact, bodybuilding stuff for the past week. Think I'm just in the mood for a change. But I really don't see the value in logging specifics.

More when the workout gets more interesting.
