Friday: 3/28 walk, weigh #215, off
Saturday: 3/27 walk, yoga x 20mins
Sunday: 3/28 walk, yoga x 20mins I am lazy and skipped my medium workout. We'll call this a "recovery weekend" since I slept like 14 hours on Friday.
Monday: 3/29 walk, simple six, 80# press superset with pullups +50#x 2x{1,2,3} missed last set of pullups so terminated remaining sets. 8 minutes x 53# swings, alternating hands, 80 reps per hand. Not bad.

Friday, 4/1: Weigh in 217#, walk over 5 miles. Press 80# L/R alternated with pullups + 50#, 3 x {1,2} 6 minutes of swings, 7R/L on the minute, 42 R/42 L total.

Sat-Sun: walk 5 miles + each day. Got a treadmill to hook up to my desk so these weekend walks will go down easier.
Mon: walk 5 miles, 20 mins yoga. Wimped out on the KB workout.
Tues: 4/6/2010 walk 5 mi +, press 80#/pullup +50 x 3x{1,2,3}, 10 minutes swings--100 R, 100 L. These did not feel quite high or powerful enough to be snatches. Not bad. Music: The Who, GnR.

4/7: Holding steady at 217#, 1 hour yoga, walk 5 + miles, some of it on the "new" treadmill. It's a 12 year old sears model purchased for $50 off craigslist. Perfect for the long slow walks I'll be subjecting it to.

I usually feel like the tin man the day after a heavy KB workout, so the yoga is welcome. I miss lifting actual heavy weight though.

4/8- walk about 5 miles, simple six, 3x 80# press/+50# pullup singles, 9 minutes 53# snatches, 45 reps each hand. Getting easier.
4/9- walk about 5 miles, 20 minutes yoga
4/10-weigh in at 217#, 37.5in waist, about 17% bodyfat per some conversion table. Would like to hit 9%-12% and 198-202ish.
simple six, 3x{1,2} press/pull; 8 minutes 53# snatches, 56r R/L. This is getting easier, time to ramp up the reps/minute. Foot is feeling better, still wearing regular running shoes, no extra padding. I will start moving to Nike Free 5.0s fairly soon.

AM: weigh in about 225#, simple six, 1x{1,2,3} of my normal push/pull crap. I was hoping that I would get warmed up and have one of those "surprising" good workouts, instead it sucked dick. I had a small headache when I started, a big one when I called it quits, probably by driving my BP up.

4/13: Walk about 5 miles, 20 mins yoga
4/14: Walk about 5 miles, simple six, light KB, push/pull four singles of my working weights, 6mins x 5 reps/hand per minute snatch (30 L/R) with my usual weight
4/15: Walk about 5 miles, simple six, 3x8x35# curls "for the girls"
4/16: Walk 6 + miles, simple six, 4x {1,2} push/pull, 3 minutes x 8 reps per hand per minute snatch (24 L/R)

Weight steady between 217-222# this week, pants looser, I'll measure next week to see if I need to shake things up more. Foot is getting sore and jacked up, but in a different place than before (up in the arch) so I guess that counts as progress. I should probably build in more daily/weekly variation in my walking schedule. This felt like a garbage week where I was just putting in the time.

5/3/2010

1 week off--built a walking desk
last week: 2 light training days, playing with the 40kg. bell, there was shit around my chinning station, still painting and putting the walking desk together. Also, apparently eating my ass off.

Today:
Get the computer put back in.
Weight: #227, waist 42". I am going to get type two diabetes, like, tomorrow if I don't straighten up and fly right.
Walk about 8 miles today. Walking desk + internet = lots of damn walking.
Ladders with varying weights: 4 x {1,2,3} 40kg press/50 lb. pullup on singles, 36kg/25lb. doubles, 32kg/bodyweight triples. Finish with 4 minutes of swings, 48 R/48 L with the 24kg bell.

I like varying the weight and also playing with the heavier bell. Maybe I'll stick with this for a while.

5/10:
Eat some scorchingly hot Vindaloo. I'll be crying on the can tomorrow. :toimonster:
Walk only about 4-5 miles
223#, 39". Didn't blow it too bad over the weekend.
Simple six.
2x{1,2,3} press/pullup with 40kg/50lbs, 36kg/25lb, 32kg/bodyweight. Missed the 3rd set, left hand and stopped strength work.
Finish with 7 minutes 24kg 'bell swings. 11/ hand /minute, 77 total. Very hard.

I feel like I'm getting closer to both of the Latvian's goals. We'll see how things go. I want to go back to the barbell, especially learning how to squat, but I feel that I'm close enough now that I need to finish the journey.

T: Foam Rolling, stretching
W: Walk 8-9 miles

F: Medium, push pressed 95# L/R, failed with 80#, canned remaining workout
S-U: off
M: Hard: 3x{1,2,3,4} performed with 88#/bw+50#, 3 with 80#/BW+25#, 4 with 72#/BW, Finish with 9 minutes x 10 reps L/R plus 2 extra reps per hand. This was hard, but doable compared to the 11 reps/hand x minute ass rape performed before.

7/1: Tuesday- yoga. Quite sore from the IGX challenge
7/2: Wednesday- Light KB, don't remember exact numbers, tonic workout
7/3: Thursday- foam roll, walk about 8 miles, win impromptu pullup contest on the branch of a tree. (after I did 10, everyone was like, "oh, he's rubbing it in, now...". I got congratulated by a cop who was in the street directing traffic: "makes me tired just watching you". I thought that was kind of pathetic.
7/4: Friday- eat some good mexican food, drink strong margaritas, walk about 9 miles
7/5-7/6- Off
7/7: Monday- Press/pull ladders. 4x{1,2,3,4} using 40kg press/BW + 50 lbs. for 1,2; 36kg press/BW +25lb pull for 3; and 32kg press/BW pull for 4. Last 3 sets were ugly, left shoulder hurting, right foot (again), left hip flexor. 2 x 10/2 minutes swings, they were weak and low
