Many thanks, all! I have basically now gotten back to where I was before the holidays (well, the last two months of 2010,) which is a good start....Now i'd like to shoot for 2-3 lb/week for the next month or so. So far I haven't had to do anything drastic at all...just being more conscious of what I eat and how much of it...and taking some steps back from the weights to do some conditioning and cardio.

Got a long way to go, but off to a solid start. I'll count on IGx to reality check me if and when i hit any speed bumps. Thanks again!

Great job. I'm trying to cut weight for a comp myself and my strategy is similar to yours, cardio of some kind every day. Keep up the good work.

thanks syaigh! yeah the cardio is not so bad so long as i remember the headphones. the elliptical is less boring than the tread and i can go longer distances faster, so it has been getting the nod lately. would love to row, but don't have access to a machine at the moment.

weight loss has stalled, in fact i'm up a lb or so. gotta analyze what i'm doing wrong. sticking around 2K calories per day and getting what i feel like is plenty of exercise, so either it's just a plateau and time will make the difference, or i need to look into some other form of dieting. we'll see.

sugar free metamucil goes a long ways towards curbing appetite in the first couple weeks.

appreciate it. i started using metamucil once a day per IGX knowledges so I intended on doing so during the fast. do you have a recommendation on how often to use it?

You had pretty significant weight loss the first couple of weeks and it was bound to slow or plateau a bit. Watch your calorie balance. Eat it, burn it off. Rinse and repeat.

twice a day worked for me. i used to mix shitty whey protein with orange metamucil three of more times a day but i got real sick of the flavor
