Training for Highland Games, PL, Oly (when I can find a local coach), and anything else that looks fun.

Current best lifts (from my first PL meet 7/23/11):
Squat: 436
Bench: 302
Deadlift: 460

Best throws (Vista Games 6/26/11):
Braemar: 23'9
Open: 29'9
Light WFD: 47'11
Heavy WFD: 20'2
Light Hammer: 86'2
Heavy Hammer: 68'3
WOB: 11' (I keep knocking the 12' bar off)
Sheaf: 20'

Next up is the Cal State Games PL meet in a couple weeks, then probably just chase women and chill at the beach for the rest of the summer.

After my last games of the season I started training for the PL meets:

Mon
Front Squat
Clean
Bench

Weds
Squat
Bench
Deadlift

Fri
Snatch
Bench

I've been using ladders for bench and it worked really well until last week my elbows started feeling like shit. They're in a lot of pain whenever I bench now. I failed my third attempt at the meet because of it, so I'm just going to give them a break for a bit and hope they improve by the next meet.

Sat 8/6
Cal State Games:
Squat: 405, 425, 451(pr)
Bench: 286, 315(fail), 315(fail) elbows still jacked
Deadlift: 450, 475(pr), 501(pr)

I'm happy with how I did (came in 5th in the 240 class), finally got that 500 dl!

Tues 8/9
Run 400m x 4 (was planning on more but my glutes locked up)
