I believe the dogs belonging to the average Igx:er gets more exercise than the average american or european.

This was a perfectly timed back off week. Work is fucked, sleep is fucked and diet is fucked this week. Back at it next week.

Squat 135x5x3
Bench 115x5, 135x5, 165x5, 185x5, 215x7 - hoping for 8-9 but no gas today
Chins between bench sets 3-5
Lat pull downs 5x10
Press 70x10x4 sucks

Felt a pop in my calf on Tuesday on my second hill sprint. A nice little strain but nothing too bad. The past couple days I haven't been quite so gimpy, but definitely not ready for any impact or walking out heavy squats.

I like your workout plan.

I read through your log.

My question is this. In your workouts now, do you go in with a plan or just go by feel? The reason I ask is that since you quit doing the ladders it seems to vary from workout to workout.

Thanks

Be careful with that calf and don't let it become a lingering issue. Nice work! I hope life is starting to treat you better.

Thanks Mick, life is good but the calf sucks. It feels like its getting better very quickly, but I'm going to be easing back in to it very slowly.

Shadow -
Thanks for reading. My template is based on Wendler's 5/3/1 full body stuff, but I'm bastardizing it by benching 3x a week in addition to squatting 3x a week.

Mon - Squats 5/3/1, bench 65%x3, 75%x3, 85%x3, lats and anything else I feel like or have time for
Wed - Squat 65%, 75%, 85%x3, bench 5/3/1, lats and whatever
Fri - Squat 65%,75%,85%x3, bench same %, deadlift 5/3/1
Conditioning on the in between days

I'll be going easy on the squats for a bit, and upping the volume on some upper body assistance.

I always wanted to meet up with the person who came up with the "no-load week". I didn't know that you actually patented it. :)
