Sunday, 4.22

Dusted off the Bianchi that's been sitting on my garage wall for ages and took it for an easy spin with the family.

My ass is going to hurt from that seat.

Sunday, 4.29

Morning at the community center

Pull-ups 3,2,2
MP 95, 3*3
SQ 135, 3*3
DL 225, 3*3
EZ Curls 3*3 (anyone know how much an OLY EZ bar weighs?)
DB Pullover 45*12

I had the entire facility to myself and did ~8-10 sets of Cybex machine shit in circuits. Then, I did some Hypers, Crunches on a BoSu and some band stretching.

Took the family on a trail for the kids to ride bike and for the wife and I to walk/jog. She did more jogging than I did. Total was ~3.5 miles.

I need to get back to the fancy pants gym for a weigh-in or make the community center's scale the new default as I am seeing myself enjoying training there more than I am at the fancy pants gym. That gym has seen a lot of turnover in staffing, is more douchey than ever, kettleball and X@'ish group classes, complete with the most despicable instruction and awful form from the attendees are everywhere and at all hours of the day. At least the sauna is still the sauna and the outdoor pool will be open soon enough.

My community center's gym at a cost of around a whooping buck per day, one mile from the house:

Incredible community center. If your knee is still funky, throw in some calf work. The programming is very good.

And there's more you don't see. Like two hockey rinks, two full court basketball courts, a skateboard/bike trick course (for all the gnarly shit I do on my skateboard, dude). Back to the 'fitness area' they also have a CII'ish rower, plate loaded leg press, Smith Machine, Trap Bar, RCSU, Captain's Chair, med balls, BoSu balls, striking bag, bumper plates and an aprox 2700 square foot open space for whatever....shit they even have KRAZYBALLS!!!! Probably about 15 pieces of cardio equip, too: spin bike, treadmills, eliptical things, Octane eliptical things, bikes....

They had two half racks with pegs for bands, chains and all that shit for awhile, but it was gathering dust, I guess, so they 86'd it.

Tom,

Fortunately, the Psoriatic Arthritis has been fairly non-existent since early this year....my knees and right ankle barked a little today, but I just got done icing for the first time in ages.

Thanks for checking-in!

Monday, 4.30

Behold, comrades ladies, I bring you an easy, FREESTYLE! workout with a single one pood kettleball, consisting of snatches, windmills (!), goblet squats & swings. ~7 minutes without setting the kettleball down.

My performance in the windmill was dismal...I need to work on this for flexibility purposes.

Can't remember if this was 5.2 or 5.3, but I did a trail bike ride for about 30 minutes.

Saturday, 5.5

Did the Kate Potter "Warrior" episode with my wife as she has all of the episodes on DVD. Kate's gals are way hotter than the YRG hots, btw.

I can't balance on my right foot to save my life.

Then did seated Arnold Presses and Curls with 35's for about 10 minutes.

5.6 Sunday

Plumbing issues, which equates to much time of my big and exceptionally broad through the shoulders, ass spending time wedged under a sink. Good Yoga is what that was.

Some freestyle shit in the basement gym. 95% (aside from the full set of krazyballs and most of the OLY plates) of this has been collected from Craig's List over the past year for under $500 in total. Shop Craig's List, lie-men.
