synthetic socks

Very nice for running when my dogs are barking. Expensive (about $10 a pair), but worth it IMO.

Personally I have no frame of reference to compare them to vaseline.

Cotton gets wet, bunches, causes blisters. Synthetics wick moisture away from skin. Generally stay smooth and don't bunch. Some do it better than others. I lke Cool Max brand. Others:
