Simmons interviewed Larry Bird a few days ago. Although I grew up rooting against the guy, his responses really demonstrate a class act. If you like the NBA, it is worth a listen.

I thought this was interesting. I think Simmons is a nice break from the rest of the talking heads, he's funny, and his hatred for LA, even though he lives there now is very funny to me. I read his columns every week and listen to his podcast when I can.

His mailbag is as good as anything out there and I like his podcast because he basically asks the questions I would ask if I were able to sit around and watch sports all day.
Getting Bird and Obama inside of a few weeks is impressive for any journalist.
