Back in the mid 90's, I was working an assignment in L.A. and went to Santa Anita racetrack one weekend. Walking under the grandstands after betting, it was wall to wall with people, and I came face to face with Jack Klugman literally blocking each other's way. He was wearing his Oscar Madison hat and tweed jacket and looked grouchy as hell. Without saying a word, I stepped out of his way. He used to own several horses, one named Jack Klugman and also one named Jaclyn Klugman as well. Anyway, RIP Jack.
