Well the helicopter did crash with the Team 6 members and others aboard...it's the how, why etc. that seems to be the question.

I can't remember where I read it but I thought I read something that said that they initially came up with the name Seal Team 6 to fool people into thinking they had multiple seal teams. Then back in the late 80's they referred to the team as DEVGRU.

If I remember right from back when the incident portrayed in Lone survivor occurred, there were some basic similarities. Chinook helicopter full of spec op types shot down while headed out toward a small unit in need of support.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it puts some pretty basic holes in the theory of the aggrieved father who seems to be pushing the conspiracy side of things.
This does all seem to come from one pissed off guy and a few fringe media accomplices.
Also, didn't Neil Roberts fall from a chinook while in support of guys on the ground?

Michael Savage is slightly more legit than Alex Jones. Both are fun to listen to, but for entertainment purposes only.

Levels of retardation here:
- the Taliban only wants to kill the most elite of American troops because they killed Osama. SEALs and other special ops groups have never been a target before
- I seem to recall a few resource-related tragedies in Afghanistan under Dubya. They might have even made a movie about one?
- No one had ever heard of ST6 (or Devgru, or Delta, etc.) until Obama took office! Shit, CBS wasn't airing a soap opera about a Delta analogue for years in the mid-00s
