Miss USA recommends learning self defense - starts feminist

I guess there was a Miss USA contest last night.
Miss Nevada, the eventual winner, a 4th degree black belt in TKD, was asked about sexual assaults on college campuses. Part of her reply was learning self defense.
Immediately the interwebz became abuzz from feminists disagreeing with her.

Fems believe rape culture is problem. Maybe, maybe not.
Same concept as gun grabbers though of would rather demand ivory tower perfect world exist then prepare to defend against the bad guys of the world. Yes, they exist and always will.
As for me and my house we will do a backwards pseudo SERE school approach. Escape, resist, evade, shoot.

Most martial arts it could take anywhere from 15-20 years to achieve a 4th degree black belt. In TKD however, you can expect to receive your 4th degree black belt by your 8th day of class.
The only stipulation is that the 8 days MUST be completed in consecutive months.

God forbid she was a gun enthusiast who said women should carry a weapon and shoot their rapist.
But, if she said that women should carry guns and shoot all potential rapists (ie, men), maybe she'd have rallied some support. #penisenvy
