Pop Up Canopy Question

Totally off topic question. I have a First Up 10’ x 10’ pop up canopy thing we use for shade and rain protection out in the yard. The wind caught it and messed up the frame – I have it sort of repaired – usable but far from right. I bought it for like $89 or so several years back. Looks like I need to buy another one – I went looking and found ones that cost $189 and another brand name at $89 again – does anyone know of a particular model that is stronger than another and holds up better to the wind? I don’t mind paying more if it’s worth more.

They are all shit. I've had 3 break on me, ironically, the first one I had was more like tent poles and stuff, and lasted the longest, the ones that unfold break easy. I do think the ones you see at art or craft fairs are much sturdier, I think those start around $200

If it doesn't have to fit in the trunk of a car, I know a couple of people that used these kits where you buy fittings to use with regular EMT for their farmer's market tables. You buy the kit, get the EMT at Home Depot or whatever, and put it together like tinkertoys. I have no idea if this company is any good, first thing google coughs up:

1" EMT is sturdy stuff, even 3/4" would probably be stronger than anything you'll get in a pop up.

A friend has one (it's much bigger than I need but it's super strong - but it takes up a lot more room than I have to haul it around). Mine will have to fit in the trunk. But Thanks!
