All I know is that he shouldn't use a demonic dremel to remove it. I tried that myself after smashing my wedding ring onto my finger while dirt bike riding. Turns out that when they say gold is a really good conductor that they mean it. As soon as I touched the cutting tool to the ring (with a piece of metal between the ring and my finger for protection) the ring got crazy hot and burned the other side of my finger. Curse you conductivity, I mean demons!
