That's inferior to the original in almost every way.

The Disturbed version reminds me of Trans Siberian Orchestra, which isn't a good thing.

Your opinion is valid and I agree with it. What I like is the guy knew what the song meant, sang the words in his own way and, basically, crushed it. You don't think the metal guys, who specialize in hoarse screaming, can actually interpret a song and sing with, well, melody. I think this version is haunting. Is it as good as the original? A song that has lasted 50 years? Probably not. But well worth a listen.

The only song they have ever done that I like. I hate that band and that whole genre. They're all trying too hard. They all should have died out in 2005.

Don't know the band or their other work, dude must be listening to a little Nick Drake and a lot of Nick Cave.

Disturbed at least made that fucking song tolerable.
Draiman later enrolled at Ida Crown Jewish Academy in Chicago, Illinois, where he graduated from high school in 1991.[8] From there, in 1991–1992, he spent a year after high school studying at the Yeshivas Neveh Zion in Kiryat Ye'arim, on the outskirts of Jerusalem, Israel.[8]
After returning to the US, in 1992, Draiman commenced pre-law studies at Loyola University Chicago.[8] In 1996, he graduated the university with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, Philosophy, and Business Administration.[12][13] Initially considering taking up offers to matriculate and study at law school, Draiman realised that, although criminal defense law was the only area of law that interested him, he could not "really look at myself in the mirror and say I'm going to lie for a living and protect criminals".[8] During his university studies, Draiman also worked as a bank teller and in phone sales.[8]
I like Disturbed and the singer in particular.

Only people who know how to like music will understand the genius of this one.

PS. If you ever thought Kurt Cobain's version of this song was good, you are an idiot and should impale your eardrums with an ice pick. They do you no good in this world.

And for fuck's sake, when it comes to heavy metal covers, probably one of the best remakes ever.

Disturbed isn't heavy metal.
I like this guy less and less each passing day.
