Good riddance! You were never really into the EU anyway (no Euro as currency and no Schengen area among other things). Not that there's anything wrong with being outside the EU, but if you are in, you are in. This two speeds UE is a contraption that can't possibly work.
I suppose you're waiting for the TTIP to come into effect.

A lot of my thinking on the Brexit is influenced by my pondering The Trump for the past months.
For many people, their national identity is important. And they resent being dictated to, or invaded, by others. There is no national interest more important than borders & sovereignty.

Hmmmmmmm......
Not sure that's true really...but at the core of it, there's more than just ideological border/sovereignty issue at stake. Brexit is as old as the English contempt for the Hun. The powers that be are hitting very very old notes I think.

I doubt the fifth largest economy on the planet will fall apart due to leaving Brussels control. There will be a little shakeup for a while and then things will smooth out.

I found I mostly agreed with this perspective:

Not sure what the Brits would get from staying in-- some trade loss vs. less exposure to the (increasingly) unstable euro and more border and entitlement control doesn't seem like a terrible trade off.

so you guys trust the leaders of the leave movement?
Farage had insisted throughout the debate that Britain was spending £350 million a week on the EU (the actual figure is less than half that amount) and that a Brexit would mean redirecting those funds to the National Health Service. But today, on Good Morning Britain, Farage confessed that all that had been a bit of a porky and after all he’d been wrong to promise it. So Leave won’t mean a palpable increase in the health of society? Sadly, no.
the exit is nostalgia. clocks don't run backward.

So, some consequential but not overly large country decided to opt out of an alliance with some other similar countries and the intelligentsia and talking heads swoon with the vapors? Balderdash (I think that's a Brit word).
Fuck, the whole thing doesn't take place for two years if then. More balderdash or, perhaps, flummery.
The only real solution of course is for the US and Britain to reunite under the strong hand of Trump as leader of both re-greatified nations.

once I got to London, I naturally felt safe, so I dismissed my security detail, and went out to a park to talk to Londoners about Brexit. Little did I know that left-wing extremists in the UK would be the most violent people I encountered in Europe!
Hostile non-whites such as Jews, Muslims, feminists and homosexuals brought this on themselves. LOL @ the next few months/years.....

Right now, Scotland is demanding a new secession referendum because they were promised to remain in the EU if they voted to remain within the UK. And I suspect a similar move from the Ulster is in the making. Who knows, maybe Wales wants to say "fuck you too".
This is gonna be funny...

General feeling here is that the people made a big mistake. I voted to remain of course.
Yesterday was a bad day for the UK. A vote tinged with racism and superiority, we were so convinced we needed them more than they needed us. And of course... They've told us to go fuck ourselves.
I see another Scottish referendum, and possibly Northern Ireland. There'll be a general election, and a party will run on a campaign of Remain. I suspect we'll never actually leave.
If we do, we'll spend the next two years renegotiating hundreds of deals we already had access to. Utter stupidity.

If you really think being outisde the EU is going to stop the tidal wave of immigrants you are way stupider than you appear.
They're going to keep coming, breeding at a much higher rate than local population and sucking what's left of the UK's tit dry until they have sufficient numbers to win a few elections.
You lot should be getting used to the idea of seeing your granddaughter's wedding taking place at a mosque. It's bound to happen all over Europe (the continent, not just the EU) within a couple of generations.
