Who doesn't make it through?

Seems like generally one nominee doesn't make it through (see
here). Any guesses on who it will be and why?

they have to approve de vos because you never know when you might need a gun at school to protect yourself from a grizzly bear

DeVos is depressingly dumb and unqualified and it's going to hurt kids. It seems like the GOP strategy is to take Departments they want to fail and putting incompetents in charge of them.

Hopes that Trump would actually "Hire the best people" are getting dashed pretty early.

Things could get rocky for Floyd Mayweather, I mean Andrew Pudzer.

This hope never had any basis in reality.

That's the stick to ensure these all get confirmed. There is no carrot.

No one sees the irony in the question put to De Vos?
Feds who have failed miserably in their own education bailiwick, the DC public school system, know what's best for Wapiti, Wyoming* and other localities. De Vos's primary mission is to free kids from the Failure Factories that (largely) Democrat politicians have created over the past forty years. You humanitarians should applaud her.
*De Vos didn't just pull grizzly bears out of the air, she was referencing comments made earlier by the senator from Wyoming. But let's bury that fact.

That's not her mission at all.

For Goddamn sure, education hasn't been the mission of the Failure Factories for the last forty years.

tell me the avg annual income in the school district, and i'll tell you whether the school is "good."
educational quality has nothing to do with r and d. it mirrors the economic status community in which the school is located.
(and yes, teachers unions aren't helping)
as for guns for grizzlies, the comment is a perfect example of her point that one size doesn't fit all. her response applies to maybe .0001 percent of all schools. it's a terrible example and reveals her lack of command of the issue. if you channel a dipshit and get called for it, you don't get a pass by blaming your foolishness on the dipshit

That is the mission. Maybe they're not executing to your standards, but the countries outperforming us on childhood education all have public systems they spend a lot of money on. One party wanting to put semi-retarded wives of Amway heirs in charge of the department tasked with improving schools may be part of the reason we lag behind.

She's likely to push for putting Jeb's education initiatives into place. Those proposals will get support and opposition from both sides of the aisle.

Worrying more about who can pee where than education quality is a reason too.

Devos has said this:
Why do our public schools have to act as day care centers and specialized care centers for the disabled? Most of them go on to be disabled adults, unable to hold a job and on welfare their entire lives.
Honestly, Charter schools only outperform ghetto schools. And it puts public education funds into private, far less regulated hands... There are already stories about massive embezzlement

The Devos family has been a plague on Michigan, and now the rest of the US can enjoy them too

It's almost as though it's worth looking into the history of why public education was established as a public good in the first place....

Education overspending and underperforming is a 99 headed hydra taht you can't lay more than 1/3 the blame in any one place. That being said, you see the priorities of this administration across the board (Save for Mattis, who I suspect will be one of the first smart enough to resign) by putting people in place who have zero capability or working knowledge of the departments they will oversee. If it benefits anyone it will be the states who recognize they need to avoid being on the Federal teet to avoid dealing with increasingly stupid people in DC..(and don;t get me wrong, there are a number of Fed agencies that work extremely well hand in glove with State counterparts)
This is not a partisan observation, this is about as objective and factual an observation as you can get.
I thought little of G Bush's no child policies but I tell you what, it was sophisticated brain trust of uber geniuses compared to this lot. It actually did get the ball rolling if only to befuddle all the dunces at home who couldn't figure out their 4th graders Common Core math homework.

you can make a wager on whether the blond elvis, himself, with make it:
Paddy Power. . . the Irish bookmaker is currently taking bets on the president-elect being impeached within six months of his presidency at 4-1 ― and offering odds of 7-4 that he’ll prematurely leave the White House.
