Donald J Trump doesn’t have any lawyers for his trial.

Maybe he can be represented by a Reddit group? Seriously, after wallstreetbets.

Geez...another Republican with a weirdly wide stance.

"Former President Donald Trump's office announced that David Schoen and Bruce L. Castor, Jr. will now head the legal team for his second impeachment trial, a day after CNN first reported that five members of his defense left and his team effectively collapsed."

I want to see how the Congress removes a private citizen from office..... Prevent him from running again? He'd have to have rocks in his head to take a second helping of the shit he endured for four years.

Trump can take his Presidential seal and market it. If the Congress takes it away? "Typical Swamp behavior.... " and keep on calling himself "Former President".

Trump cannot lose under these conditions. The Democrats, who got two years to get something done, will waste time on theater.

They served their purpose.... right? The Democrats will distrust them because they're Republican, the Republicans in the base won't trust them because they were not loyal to a sitting President.

So why not toss them under the bus now, get it over with?

Depends on who Republican voters blame for the loss of the senate doesn’t it? I would have put long odds on losing both seats.

McSally ran a for shit campaign in Arizona. She was a total fuckup. Mark Kelly's wife was a popular Congress person who got shot at the same time as a Federal Judge was assassinated. Another "lone nut" shooting that probably should have been looked at more closely. Sen Kelly is a personable man and a "victim of gun violence", even if his wife is being bankrolled by lawyers in Texas who raped companies out of money.

The "get out the vote" effort in Georgia favored areas that liked Democrats. Stacy Adams is a good figurehead. I wasn't surprised that they won, though I am not sure that 0.2 percent more of the vote is a mandate.
