Fucking lame. Last time I ever go see a movie without having seen a trailer, or read any reviews.

Nick Cage = shitty movie.
Nice to see Marvel destroy the Ghostrider franchise just like they destroyed the Punisher fanchise.

it's because they get directors who don't know what the fuck the big deal is about a comic.

I go to rottentomatoes.com and check their reviews, if a movie gets a high rating, like over 90%, then I might see it.
I haven't sat through a shitty movie (unless it was a compromise with a friend) in a long time, and the last 3 I saw -- Borat, Children of Men and Casino Royale -- were all excellent.
Here's their reviews of all current films, hope it saves you a couple bucks and spares you from a horrible film.

And to think it was #1 at the box office for the weekend. Hell, I think it set a record for President's Day weekend. Oh well, word will get out and it will die a slow death like 'The Hulk' did.
Not to start a Marvel fanboy flame war...but what the fuck possessed them to make a Ghost Rider movie? What's next? Fucking Moon Knight?
Make a good Hulk or Wolverine movie ya dumb motherfuckers!!!

Hell, no. They've got to get "Man-Thing" and "Wildcat" done first. Actually a film of "Grimjack" or Moore's "Miracleman" wouldn't have to suck, but it'd be hella expensive.

Moon Knight would be cool.
However, Ghost Rider = Motorcycle = cashing in a bit belatedly on the custom chopper craze.

Ghost Rider never had a franchise to destroy. He's always been a C list character that even Garth Ennis couldn't make relevant.
There is simply no excuse for what they did with that Punisher movie.

The Punisher came out of the Burbs of Jersey and did 98% of his hunting in NYC.
He was about 6' 4-"6' 5", 245-265#s and mean as Hell.
He was an old grizzled Vietnam Vet, not a DEA agent, via the SEALs.
And Tampa? Shit.
Point is, they should do the stuff, as written, and they would have the huge hits they are looking for.
Spider Man works because they stick pretty close to the comics outline.
Sam Rami is a huge fan and was out to do a good job above putting his stamp on it.Hehas set the standard for superhero filmsfrom here on out.
I am disappointed that the initial reveiws for Ghost Rider suck.
Moon Knight, with Tony Jaa as Moon Knight, and some dumb dude as his real identaty, Whoshewhats it?

1) Moon Knight sucks ass. The only reason to read his title these days is because a couple issues tie into Marvel's amazing Civil War storyline.
2) I want to see Jaa as Kato in Kevin Smith's Green Hornet movie.

Well, if they're going to make movies about the c-list "guys not to bother calling if Galactus shows up" franchises, then I would personally like to see a Luke Cage and Ironfist movie. However, I know they'll just fuck up the casting, but I won't be dissapointed if they pull an "X-men" and change Ironfist's costume...those yellow slippers and sash were teh ghey.
Here's what they need to do:
Make a good goddamned Captain America movie to make up for that Reb Brown shit they did back in the 70's. Ditto for that shitty Captain America movie they did back in the 90's that got buried somewhere with that weird Fantastic Four movie that somebody made just to keep their rights from timing out.
Do the Hulk right. No love stories. No Oedipus complex bullshit. We just wanna see him throwdown with Abomination, the Leader, and the U.S. Army. How hard is it?
Make a Thor movie. CGI that shit to death, and have him blowin' shit up. Have him fight the Hulk...who cares. It's fucking comics.
Nobody but guys who jack off to Jean Grey ass shots give a fuck about any X-men but Wolverine. Do that shit...do it now...do it right. Have that motherfucker fighting Wendigo, and the Hulk, and going berzerker and shit. Don't put no fucking Jean Grey or Storm in that shit unless he taps it from behind. 'Nuff said. Matter of fact, do the Frank Miller story line where he goes to Japan and is fighting the Yakuza and ninjas and shit. I'm telling you...I need to be running Marvel. It's not rocket science.
Dr. Strange...I know you think I'm crazy, but with what they can do with CGI that shit would be off the hizzy. There's always a market for magickal/occult/horror shit, and if they have him warping between worlds fighting Dormammu and shit then that'll pull in the Matrix nerds. Just do it.
Tony Jaa as 'Shang-Chi: Master of Kung Fu'...yeah, he's a little dark for the role, but fuck it. Those comics had some cool ass characters and it was always a bit edgy for the times. Jet Li would be cool too, but he's getting too old and he doesn't look that good hitting the Bruce Lee poses with his shirt off. Shang-Chi gotta hit the motherfuckin' poses, yo!
Make 15 more Spider-man movies...just keep bringing in new villains and don't change a thing. We don't give a fuck...it's working...don't change it.

I would love a Doc Strange flick if I thought anyone had the balls to make it as bugged out/trippy/Jim Steranko-ish as it would have to be. Strange is one of those characters that has huge potential, but no writer has really nailed him down.

They were making a Luke Cage movie with Tyrese, but I think it's sidelined and they are working on an Iron Fist movie with Ray Park (Darth Maul and Toad from X-Men).
In fact I did a search for him and got this:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0661917/
Scroll down his filmography to number 2 and it says Iron Fist in 2008.
That Frank Miller 4-part was the bomb, with that skinny Japanese assasin with the little knives and dealing with his future wife's father beating the shit out of him with a bokken.

Yes, the 4-part series was the one I was referring to. That was some good shit from Miller. Ninjas, sexy female assassins, Wolverine, Frank Miller...what a combo.

Elektra, along with Stick and his ninjas. That movie was at least as bad as Ghost Rider, maybe worse.

Dr. Strange could be badass.
Capt. America with Arnold as the RedSkull and put it in the 40s.

I could watch that 2-second bit of her tossing off the drapes over and over, though. It's the only good part.
BTW, the Moore/Totleben period of Swamp Thing was very cool. If you could do it in that visual style with that kind of fucked up earth elemental storyline, it could be good. Just to wash away the taste of that Dick Durok/Adrienne Boobeau/ Louis Jordan shit.

Sgt Rock will get fucked up because you know they'll just put Bruce Willis in the shit, and I'm sick of Bruce Willis mugging at the damn camera.
Watchmen would be badass, and I'm surprised it hasn't been made yet given the Hollywood heavyweights that are supposedly fans of the material.
Yep, Moon Knight is just a Batman rip-off...whoever said that nailed that one to the wall.
Nick Fury will never get made because they made that FUCKED UP version with David Hasselhoff that you can catch on Sci-Fi channel every once in a while.
I actually like the old Swamp Thing...it has a campiness that redeems it. I can't sit through the second one. The only good thing in Swamp Thing 2 is that one fine ass mercenary chick.
DC needs to stop making movies...they can't get the shit right. Nuff said.
If Fantastic Four 2 doesn't rock I'm writing my congressman. The World's Finest Comic Book deserves better treatment.
I'm glad so many agree on the Dr Strange concept. I can barely remember that made for TV version they did in the 70's, but I do remember that it was FUCKED. If they can capture the flavor of the original Steve Ditko artwork then that would be badass.
