I have both the original and the split. The difference, this is obviously, is that the split can be set up so that each piece is farther apart. The metal adjuster can dig into your arm pretty good on things like pushups and dips on the single if you're not careful. That said, I've done everything on the single, at home, at the beach and in hotel gyms, with no big problems.

This is my #1 tool right now. It makes virtually every BW movement better. Forces you to stay very balanced and in good posture or you start to sway, shake or spin. Adds a huge core element to everything. Also you can do everything from the hardest stuff, like full body weight rows, to very easy stuff any kid could do.

In terms of construction, seems bomb proof. I guess you could eventually wear something out if you're throwing it over tress and such alot, but good luck with that, or bring a towel.

Combined with the power wheel you can do some killer drills. Pushups, pikes, planks, bw rows are all something else. I've also used Tyler grips with them to make the grip harder and of course a weight vest is a natural. I keep my handles wraped in tennis grip tape so they don't get slippery with sweat.

If your into bw stuff this is a no brainer.

Yeah, I've actually wanted to grab one for a while, along with the power wheel, to take places to train.

I'd a bit more versatile than the rings.

What's the advantage over a pair of adjustable level rings?

They've got those straps you can secure your feet to the apparatus with. They are about the same price.

I don't use the foot things, but tht aside, with my big paws I was always getting kind of a funky grip on the curved ring. Also on my rings moving them was a hassle. Other then that it's certainly a similar concept/stimulus.
