We all know how amazing this show is and in my opinion it's worthy of multiple views, but the reason to pick this up is for the commentaries. They range from hilarious to insightful. Hearing the perspectives of the Marines depicted in the series is damned interesting. If you're into the film making process there's plenty of great info there as well. On top of all of that the packaging is great.

Thanks Ronald. I have these upcoming in my que on Netflix but I may just go ahead and get the box set.

I've been meaning to get this. I know a lot of the guys that were in the unit at that time. The book is worth a read.

I loved the book, but I figured this would just be a bunch of left wing Hollywood crap.

If it's not I'll netflix as well.

I laugh when I think of some dude singing "Sundown" and another singing "It's Hot in here" while shooting Jawas.
