Met Stanless Steel 10+ years ago, he was doing an exhibition at the powerlifting meet I was competing in.
He had a thick bar loaded up to 315 lbs. "Can anyone here lift this weight?". A bunch of lifters raised their hands. "Can anyone who's not competing today lift this weight?" A bunch of guys helping out raised their hand. "GODDAMN IT. NEVERMIND!"
He seems to have upped his game, he couldn't bend pennies in half back then. Mildly amusing, but somewhat simpleminded show at the time.

I'm watching this right now, he's doing a lid's birthday party, I've been drinking and this movie is making me really depressed...

Christ, I had to shut it off because I wanted to slit my wrists.
Maybe an hour into it...right after he got back from London and his dad was walking around shirtless and flexing in the house.

You missed the big payoff at the finale, Shaf. It had it all- emotional upheaval, crack smoking, possible meth injection, senile pops singing-along to the radio, and what's left of the supernova that is Stanless Steel finally collapsing in on it's self in one, anticlimactic, moment...
It was worth it.

You'll be fine after your refractory period.

It was almost as gut wrenching as Restrepo.

The payoff is that I'm now thankful for every little petty problem and bullshit issue that I deal with because my motherfucking life is GODDAMN AWESOME compared to that poor asshole Stanless Steel.
Jesus Niggroid Christ...saw this on Netflix.
I was doing pretty good until they wheeled out grandma with her fucking mummified looking ass, and it was all down hill from there. Every small thing about this movie from the vacant thousand yard stare in his girlfriend's eyes to the fact that he has to throw quilts over windows because he can't afford curtains just digs you in the motherfucking feels with a +25 DWARVEN SPOON OF EXISTENTIAL NOTHINGNESS.
Watch this if you dare...it's like a car wreck that you stare at for an hour and a half.

Has anybody seen this one...I caught the last 45 minutes or so on Audience.
Considerably more upbeat than Strongman, and Stanless appears in a Coney Island show at the end.

The fucking scene in the pick up truck where you can see in that poor woman's eyes that she realizes she has made a terrible terrible decision is heart wrenching.
