This is the story told by Biff, Joshua's best friend his entire life. Biff and Josh travel all over as Josh learns how to be the Messiah.

Though it would be easy to dismiss this as an attack on Christianity, I think it was not that at all. The author stays true to the position that Jesus was who the gospels say he was, but he uses Biff to help explain the lost years and to add a whole lot of levity (pun intended). However, the end, from where Jesus tells the disciples he will be killed, until he actually is killed, was in my opinion more poignant than any other passion story I've heard.

It was a quick, easy read and quite enjoyable. I audibly LOL'd several times and a movie made from this would be hilarious.

Read this years ago. Pretty decent. I love the opening with the smiting and raising of the dead lizard.

Great book! Seeahill had a good story about the author too IIRC.
