Anybody else reading his stuff? Been staring at the books at the local Barnes & Noble for a while, and decided to jump in with a book of short stories, The Elephant Vanishes. Read the first 4 stories, great stuff. Funny. Kind of deep. Hard to explain. Reminds me of the magical realism of the South American writers. I'll tackle a novel next.

If it's not written by Tim Cahill, I ain't a readin' it.

I think he slept with Cahill. That count?

I've read almost everything written by him and he's magnificent. A true successor to Jorge Luis Borges and, in a weird kind of way, to Philip K. Dick too.

This sounds absolutely dreadful.

Just finished "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running" and really enjoyed it. I noticed he has a lot of books at the local B&N. Plan on picking up another one soon.
