Book about energy by Daniel Yergin (author of 'The Prize'). Covers damn near everything in energy over the last quarter of century including all the major sources of energy (including conservation), boom and bust cycles, and political changes. Yergin writes well about energy, economics, international and domestic politics, regulation, and science-- and blends it all together. His history of the climate change movement (and it's opposition) is excellent as well. Most of the criticism of the book actually highlights it's strengths-- it's balanced and tries not to take sides. An excellent primer on energy.
