Inexpensive Everlast boxing timer

Bought it on a whim for 14.99 while buying some other boxing gear.

The good

1. Small and light.
2. Can easily be worn, clipped to your shorts.
3. Has a vibrate mode for your freaks.
4. rounds can be 2 or 3 minutes with either 30 or 60 second rest periods.
5. you can select the rounds that you want to box, from 1 to 12.
6. surprisingly it came with the required 2 AAA batteries.
7. has a nice start stop button.

The not so good.

1. Obviously made in China plastic crap. I wouldn't just throw it in the gym bag.
2. The bell sound does not have a volume control. You are going to have a problem hearing the bell in a crowded gym. especially if they're playing music.
3. No 30 second warning buzzer
4. 12 max rounds can be a problem. You can just restart the timer, but an unlimited round selection would have been nice.

Over all a good product. I was using a boxing timer that I burned off the internet. The problem was that I couldn't always count on have a CD player in my garage while working out. Nor do I like using a Ipod or simular device while workingout.

If you are into interval training I would give this a big thumbs up.

Arms are the only true badge of liberty. The possession of arms is the distinction of the free man from the slave.

I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.
