On the way to work in the morning I listen to Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels, who has a Talk-Radio show based out of New York. This morning, he told "the rest of the story," about Jack Klugman, (mostly,) of Odd Couple (TV show,) fame, who has just passed at 90.
Sliwa recouted how Klugman had a strong desire to act, but b/c of his looks and voice, was discouraged by many who knew him. According to Sliwa's story, (no idea where he got this from,) a turning point for Klugman, to have greater resolve rather than give up, was when, as a struggling actor, he was a roommate for a time with Charles Bronson. Bronson turned Klugman on to the "magic" of fitness training. This had a profound influence on Klugman, to dig deep inside and tough out the hard times.
Just sayin...
