Ingredients for Bulletproof Coffee
At least 2tbs Kerrygold grass-fed butter (I like up to 6 tbs).
1-2tbs of MCT oil
2 cups of hot coffee brewed with low-toxin beans (like Bulletproof® Upgraded™ Coffee) using a stainless steel filter.
http://www.bulletproofexec.com/category/coffee-2/
I've tried this recipe for a week, using just the Kerrygold butter in my coffee. It's
very tasty, and suppresses appetite for many hours. One cup of coffee is all it takes...I no longer want a second cup.
Next, I'll try with added MCT oil.

I think NOW makes a MCT oil that's cheaper than his Bulletproof stuff. From what I gather, reports are that the Bulletproof coffee itself is irrelevant - whatever Asprey wants to claim about mycotoxins, the fat seems to be the stuff that dulls the edge of coffee (headaches, withdrawal) if they affect you.
Asprey is either delusional or a charlatan (as with most of the biohackers) but all of those people seem to hit on promoting one or two legitimately good ideas.

Right, I'm just using my usual (organic) coffee - I don't need to buy his pricey Bulletproof coffee.

In my own personal recipie I use a local fresh roasted coffee, 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, and 1 table spoon of coconut oil. I love it but it doesn't really suppress my appetite like it used to. Every now and then I'll dump in a scoop of vanilla whey.

Does the melted butter mix into coffee as well as heavy cream does?

I use this to blend the coffee w/ butter.
I don't use heavy cream because it messes up my guts. But the butter doesn't.

360 calorie breakfast won't suppress much. For me it's always been an all-or-nothing proposition. Either fast (0-ish calories) or eat (~500+ calories) but don't play around in the 22yr old girl range.

MCT oil in almost any amount seems to have some, um,
consequences.

Yeah, pretty much the same here. What the fuck is butter doing in coffee? What next, Olive Oil and No Doze?

I think I heard about this on Marco Arment's blog a few months back.
IIRC, it wasn't a big hit. I don't drink coffee anymore, but if I did, I wouldn't try this. Dumping fat into coffee sounds like a great way to spend the day shitting acid for me.

Don"t know about the Olive Oil but I've chomped on No Doze and washed it down with coffee before.

If drinking coffee other than black makes you crave cock, then stick to black coffee. Not that I'd judge.
