New Meat

Joined the group last week, time to take my beating.
My name's Chris McClinch. I'm 36 and have lifted since I was 10. I competed as a bodybuilder for a while--even won the middleweight class at the 2001 INBF Collegiate Nationals--but I swear I'm not gay.
Since getting out of competitive bodybuilding, I've dabbled with the strength sports, fucked up and then rehabbed my lower back, and generally worked on trying to be awesome. In no way there. Bench is in the mid 3s, squat in the low 4s, deadlift in the mid 4s right now.

This whole hazing introduction thing is so puerile. Did any of you morons ever consider just acting like adults, welcome the new participant, and get to know him a little? I happen to know this man has a collection of gladiator films that would rival anyone here, never, ever misses Fashion Police, and he's a democrat. Now go ahead, you all get to know each other.
