Spoilers if you haven't watched the last round of the Ding-Gukesh match yet and want to. For those who haven't seen it, the match was tied going into the last game and the last game looked like a draw but Gukesh played on, hoping for a miracle. And Ding blundered. He went from a drawn position to a dead loss with one move. There was a moment from another century, though: At the presser, Maurice Ashley just asked Ding for his thoughts, not this:



but just giving Ding a moment to speak. And then, no one in the media asked him anything. He could just leave without everyone piling on. I wish more bad moments were handled like that.
