What utterly ludicrous situations will Kurt Sutter require us to suspend our disbelief and intelligence for this season? I, for one, think the more ridiculous violence and sex the better.

I skipped all of last season and probably half of the one before.

It jumped the shark and somehow makes the Central Valley look like less of a shit hole than it really is. Even with all the shootouts and Mexicans running around, they still don't manage to capture just how shitty most all of those cities really are.

People with an IQ skip this drivel and tune into Boardwalk Empire, Strike Back, and when that's all over with, they fap for a couple months until Game of Thrones comes back.

I find iq has nothing to do with the trash tv people watch.

In the aftershow, Kim Coates ruined the Tig character because he's such a fucking actor faggot.

I'm finding it hard to like anyone in that show, other than Nero.

They destroyed their own lead character in traditional terms but I don't think Sutter or many in this era of the anti hero extreme give a fuck.

It was one thing when the stroy was Jax wanting to find out about his dad and try to make his dream for the club, as a bunch of guys who commune, party, have gangbangs and ride bikes with secret handshakes and not a criminal org.

It's funny this episode got me thinking this way (someof that been brewing) as earlier in the day I had on a Justified shirt I got with the dvd set. (Good, thick XL tee) and I pull up to the drug store.

As I got out I noticed this redneck looking dude wearing an SOA shirt.

He gave me a hard look and I was about to say "Does your tv show t-shirt make you a badass?" but the irony of that hit me first so I said "C'mon Bro? You know the lead on my shirt would fuck up all those biker queers on your's."

The look on his face was priceless.

And the show is so fucking sci fi while being so fucking amoral, I'm about sick of it. I kind of like heros who are at least decent at their core and are not killing woman to save their own ass from the crimes they have done.

Agreed, it's just the bad kind of lurid now.

The central problem is they haven't earned the dark turn for Jax - Walter White getting continually more evil has been a well-plotted progression of darkness (and you're not supposed to 'root' for him anyway). Jax has just become more and more of an asshole without the dramatic weight to make it good tv.

"Sons" is becoming the show I love to hate.

I read an interview w/ the last survivor of Badfinger about "Baby Blue" on "Breaking Bad." He was like "meh." But one point he made, was that he appreciated them using the original version. If you notice, "Sons" seldom uses an original... half the time it's a Katey Sagal remake, Sutter keeping it in the family.

I did love when they used Black 47's "Big Fella" a few seasons back. I fucking love that band.
