I think I recommended the book here a few years back.
This movie is a small budget yet solid effort to reenact the Battle of COP Keating. Worth a rental.

Read "Red Platoon" by Romesha. It gives much more context to what happened. And he received the MOH for his actions that day.

Johno, I'm watching it now on Netflix, based on your recommendation. I'm up to the point where hundreds of Taliban raid the camp. It is hard to watch. (Because of how tragic it is.) I never served in the military and I have tremendous respect and appreciation for those who have and do. If this movie is realistic, and I'm guessing I'm just getting to the worst part of the story, being there was a terrible nightmare. Again, respect.

This was one of the better war movies I've seen in a while.
Scott Eastwood's resemblance to his dad is eery sometimes.
