I once dated a girl who seemed a bit nervous about sex. When I asked her about it, she told me this elaborate story about being raped as a child. I was horrified, and begged her to see someone or tell someone about it. I was the first person she told.

Turned out later she made the whole thing up, was scared of sex because she was a virgin (although I knew that already), and had massive attention needs. Needless to say that was the last time I saw her. She's still confused as to why I deleted her off facebook.
