OK, 1911 fans, I finally bit the bullet!

Post by Schlegel »

Been watching online to find an affordable one for a while and made a deal with a guy for his used Combat Commander. has some little scratches, but seems only mildly used. Guy said he put maybe 3 or 4 hundred rounds through it in total, and the condition seems to match that.
Next up in line is either a Hi-Power or a 1903 pocket hammerless, depending on money and what shows up available. My goal is to have a little collection of iconic Browning designs to shoot and compare.

This was $750 for the gun, 4 magazines, and a spare Ed Brown beavertail he never installed. I didn't think I was liable to find a better deal anytime soon since used Commanders show up so seldom for sale around here.

Why it's upside down here I don't know. It's right side up on Photobucket. Weird.
Just hold your computers upside down, everybody.

Nice! It appears you got quite a deal at 750. I've never fired one but I have a Colt Gold Cup Series 1911 that is quite enjoyable to use. Congrats!
