I'm so sorry for this. I have been following it, it seems like forever. We were so hopeful. Give our best to everyone.

I think my girls will be heart broken. Every time the wife or I is on a computer they want to check in and see how Aidan is doing. Going to be a hell of a conversation.

My condolences, this a very sad news.

I have a boy named Aidan, when the idea of something like this happening to him or his siblings comes to my mind I feel it right in the chest and gut so I can only imagine what Aidan Seeger's parents are going through. I hope they have other children so they can better go on with life.

When those fucked up thoughts about something happening to one of my kids creeps up, all I can think of is that I would have to be strong and go on for the other 2. If I lost all my kids I would probably eat a bullet ASAP so I can follow them to wherever it is they go.

Thanks all. Aidan's wake was tonight, and the funeral is in the morning. Bob was amazing. I hugged him and said "I'm sorry." he laughed and said "so am I." someone else remarked about him smiling as he greeted everyone, and he said, "I can either smile or cry."
I lost it a little when Father Murphy led us in prayer. An Our Father, 3 Hail Mary's, and a Glory Be. Then he said, "At this point we usually pray for the deceased, but this guy doesn't need it. So let's pray for mom and dad."
Wish I'd been able to snap a picture of Father Murphy standing in front of the giant Spongebob flower arrangement having a conversation with the head of the NY chapter of the Hells Angels, one per center patch and all. They were smiling, and seemed to get along well.
There was a line all night, out the funeral home and down the block. Glad I got there early.

RIP, little guy. The battle is over, you can rest now.
