Best card in recent memory. Dana White ought to throw $$$ at all those guys.

Yep. The prelims were great as well.
Bader needs to figure something out. No reason he couldn't have won his last two fights.

If the eye-poke incident didn't happen, I would have rated that card a 10/10.
It was fantastic; DW needs to figure out how to make the PPV's more like the free cards.

Are you kidding? Machida made him look like a little kid fighting a grown man. He looked terrible.

He did look terrible. He's looked terrible in his last 3 fights but I think he's got promise. I'm not saying Machida didn't have his number I'm just saying he stood a chance against Tito and Machida if he'd come out strong and played his game rather than letting Machida dictate the fight. But then again I don't know if he's letting his opponents dictate the fight or they are just making him look that bad.

Bader's athleticism will not get significantly better.
His skillset might improve slightly, but he'll never be top 5.

The Ultimate Fighter candidates have been a bust.

I haven't followed all of Bader's fights recently, but he looked helpless right up until he charged into Machida's fist, at which point he looked even more helpless. I would say he has no chance of anything given that can't even contend with the contenders.
I personally do not think Machida is big enough to beat Jones, despite his brilliant technique. He fought this weekend at 201 in the 205 class, and I think that physically he can't match with Bones. That said, his striking looked fucking flawless. I would love to see him drop down and tussle with Anderson.

I like watching Bader but this was a nightmare matchup for him.
I'm surprised Machida is so eager for another title shot this soon. He probably needs to make some adjustments (if that will help enough to pull out a W) and it's very soon for that.
Of course, Jones has to get past Henderson. There's no looking past that guy.

I hate to say it, but I think Jones can safely look past Hendo.
Hendo's MMA wrestling isn't particularly strong, his striking isn't on par with Jones', his submission game from his back isn't great and particularly against such a big, long-limbed guy, and with a massive reach disadvantage, his only hope is the H-bomb.

That was Ricky Lundell, MarcoFP's coach, in Lauzon's corner.

He appears to have done wonders with that guy.

IMO, Lauzon received several gifts. First & foremost, Varner gassing, then Varner putting himself into the Triangle, and finally, Varner dropping to his knees rather than continuing to posture up (which had been working).
Lauzon's wrestling didn't look that good.
Edit - Apparently, Varner broke his right hand; this explains all the elbows he was throwing.

Varner didn't seem to gas, to me, but Rogan sure harped on it over, and over, and over, and over....
Rogan kept saying how tired Varner was, right before Varner would throw sharp combinations and shoot a strong power double. Didn't seem tired to me.

Varner was gassed but unlike most pussies he has the intestinal fortitude to suck it up and do what it takes to continue to fight.

I read that with "Eye of the Tiger" playing mentally in the background!

LOL
It's not movie shite, it's just the fact that Varner is a work horse and has the discipline to perform even when his body wants to quit. What's the saying"fatigue makes cowards of us all"? Varner was tired and he could have taken the easy way out but he stayed in the fight.
